Bambu Lab has launched the H2C 3D printer, a high-performance machine designed for advanced users. One of its standout features is the Vortek system, which includes six interchangeable printing heads. This allows the printer to produce up to seven colors in a single print without needing to pause and purge the nozzle, a common process that generates waste when switching between different types of printing materials, or filaments. Each printing head stores the last filament used, eliminating the need for purging and reducing material waste.
The H2C is also equipped with induction heating technology, which rapidly heats the printing head to its operational temperature in about 8 seconds. This significantly speeds up the process of changing colors or materials compared to traditional printers that rely on slower purge cycles. In addition to its fast heating, the H2C offers a print speed of up to 1,000 mm/s and a large print volume of 305 × 320 × 325 mm. Its enclosed print chamber can heat up to 65 °C, making it suitable for printing with technical materials like ABS, PETG, nylon, and TPU.
The printer's printing head can reach temperatures of up to 350 °C, while the heated bed can go as high as 120 °C. These capabilities allow the H2C to handle a wide variety of demanding filaments, making it a versatile tool for professionals and experienced makers. However, Bambu Lab also offers more user-friendly models for beginners who are just starting with 3D printing.
The H2C was originally priced at 2,149 euros but is now available at a discounted price of 1,999 euros on the company’s official website. The printer can also support up to 24 different filaments by using multiple AMS (Automated Material Supply) modules, which are sold separately. This modular design allows users to expand the printer’s capabilities as needed.
