Jailbreak reveals DLC details

A jailbreak of the Nintendo Switch 2 has allowed dataminers to uncover potential details about future downloadable content (DLC) for Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave. The game, released on September 17, is an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2 and has been described as both successful and content-rich.

Expansion pass structure revealed

Nintendo announced two weeks before the game's release that an expansion pass containing three waves of content is available for purchase. The first wave is already available, and dataminers suggest that details about the other two waves may already be present in the game files.

Content details uncovered

According to the dataminers, waves 2 and 3 of the expansion pass will include new stories, additional allies and classes, outfits, and more. Elements discovered in the game files include obelisks with unique themes for lords from the DLCs, glowing portraits for the completion of Part 2, references to Part 2, soundtracks for the obelisk themes, and a new diadem known as the Diadem of Sagacity, which is the Emblem of Macuil from Fire Emblem Three Houses.

Unused characters identified

The list of unused characters includes Chiara, Churness, Credna, Cleobulus, Gladius, Jurah, Kalla, Myson, Nomved, Smyrnos, and Suarez. Some of these characters also appear in data related to costumes and/or support, which could indicate a potential role in future DLCs. Specifically, Anna, Cleobulus, Credna, Gladius, Kalla, Mars, and Myson are noted in costume and support data.

Release timeline speculated

The second wave of content for Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave is expected to be released around Christmas 2026, while the third wave is anticipated in early 2027. Until Nintendo or Intelligent Systems provide official confirmation, the details remain speculative. One player on Reddit expressed enthusiasm, stating, "I am ready to spend 200 more hours on it."
