Expansion pass details revealed

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced an expansion pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, which will be released in three parts and cost 34.99 euros. The first part of the expansion is available today on the eShop of the Switch 2, one month after the game's release.

Content of the first expansion

The expansion pass is expected to provide answers to some of the game's unresolved questions, such as the true identity of Orchel and what happened to Sol between acts 2 and 3. The expansion will include four new weapons inspired by the Hero Relics of Three Houses, new outfits for the heroes and their allies, and three new allies: the deities Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah.

Future expansion plans

The second wave of the expansion, scheduled for the end of 2026, will include new outfits and the three new allies. The third part of the expansion, set for 2027, will include new stories following four of the rivals from the heroic games: Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia, along with new allies, classes, and additions.

Access concerns for players

However, it is unclear how players who have already reached act 3 of the game will be able to access this new content, as it may be necessary to redo the game's prologue. During development, the team originally planned to make 8 routes (instead of the 4 present in the base game), and the expansion pass is expected to include the remaining 4 routes in the form of "additional narrative content."
