Anthbot has introduced two new robotic lawnmowers, the R720 and R730, designed for use in large gardens and on uneven ground. These models are equipped with four driven wheels and a navigation system that uses multiple sensors, a lawnmower arm, and a string trimmer to minimize the need for manual adjustments. The R730 model includes an optional arm with a string trimmer that can adjust its position to follow the irregular shapes of a garden, supported by a dedicated camera. The R720 comes with the arm as a standard feature, while the R730 offers it as an optional upgrade. Both models are powered by a system with six motors—four for movement and two for steering—and can navigate slopes up to 40 degrees and vertical obstacles as high as 7 centimeters.
The mowing mechanism of both models uses two floating discs that adapt to the contours of the ground, offering a cutting width of 32 centimeters and an adjustable height between 3 and 7 centimeters. The R720 is recommended for gardens up to 2000 square meters, while the R730 can handle areas up to 3000 square meters. The HoloSense navigation system combines a 360-degree lidar sensor, a second fixed lidar, three cameras with image recognition capabilities, and satellite positioning using RTK technology to guide the robots through complex garden layouts and detect obstacles.
The R730 includes an extra infrared sensor to detect thermal signals from animals hidden in the grass, such as hedgehogs, which the R720 lacks. Both models are equipped with batteries that allow them to cover 570 and 600 square meters per hour, respectively, with a recharge time of 60 minutes. In addition to their mowing functions, the robots also include sensors for monitoring rain, temperature, and humidity, enhancing their ability to operate in various weather conditions.
Anthbot's new robotic lawnmowers represent an advancement in automated garden care, offering greater flexibility and precision for larger or more challenging landscapes. The inclusion of specialized sensors and adjustable tools aims to reduce the need for human intervention while improving the efficiency of lawn maintenance. These models are targeted at homeowners and professionals looking for reliable, high-performance solutions for maintaining large or complex outdoor spaces.
