Board game festival returns

The Touraine en Jeux festival, organized by the La Riche Ludique association, will take place on October 31 and November 1 at the Bialy complex in La Riche, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This event celebrates board games and brings together enthusiasts of all kinds.

Variety of games on display

The festival will feature both classic games like chess, checkers, and Scrabble, as well as modern favorites such as Carcassonne, Dixit, and 7 Wonders. Visitors will also find figure games, skill games, and role-playing games available for play.

Free entry and opportunities for creators

Entry to the festival is free, and attendees can discover game prototypes and vote for the TEJ Creators Trophy. The game that receives the Excellence Note from the competition will get support to transition from a prototype to a published game.

Public support for game development

The public will also be able to support a crowdfunding campaign that will finance the illustration, graphic design, or printing costs of the winning project. Some exhibitors will be present, allowing visitors to purchase games directly at the event.

Competitive games with charitable goals

A challenge will be organized where visitors can compete against the Rotary Club Tours Plumereau and Rotaract de Tours associations in a game of Zéro, a tactical card game of bluff and observation. The goal is to accumulate the fewest points possible. Participation costs 3 €, and the profits will go to the Touraine 1001 petals association, which supports children with cancer.

Special tournament and signed game

For 3 €, visitors can also participate in the Loup Garou de Thiercelieux tournament to receive a raffle ticket and try to win the 25th anniversary edition of the game, signed by its creators.
