New kitchen robot from Ninja

Ninja has launched the CrushBoss, a 3-in-1 kitchen robot that combines a blender, a kitchen robot, and a portable blender into one unit. It has a power output of 1200 W and is priced at 250 euros, matching the cost of the previously released Ninja Detect, which also offered a 3-in-1 configuration.

Features and design of the CrushBoss

The CrushBoss includes a large 2-liter blender bowl with three pairs of blades, a kitchen robot bowl for chopping, and a cup-bottle that differs from the portable model in the Detect but shares traits with the BlendBoss, a smaller colored blender from the brand. The device is large, standing 45 cm tall and weighing 4.4 kg, and is intended to stay on the countertop rather than be stored in its box after each use.

Accessories and functionality

The CrushBoss comes with various accessories, including blades for chopping and kneading, and a three-blade disc for fine or thick grating, julienning, or making wavy cuts. The device uses suction cups to attach securely to the countertop and includes features like a pouring spout on the blender bowl and an extra-large feeding tube on the kitchen robot bowl.

Intelligent operation and user modes

The 1200 W base automatically detects the installed bowl and the type of ingredients being mixed. It communicates in French and offers automatic modes such as SmoothSense for blending and PrepIQ for chopping. Users can also switch to manual mode with 10 rotation speeds for more control.

Performance and comparisons

In testing, the CrushBoss blended an apple, banana, and yogurt in 47 seconds, with the banana fully blended but the apple still showing fine slices and peel. It reduced 300 grams of ice to a fine snow in 60 seconds. The device is quieter than average, emitting 75 dB at 250 W and 77 dB at maximum power.

Design and versatility

The CrushBoss is more versatile than the Moulinex Perfect Mix Cook, which has similar power but lacks the CrushBoss’s advanced features. It also improves on the Ninja Detect with better ergonomics, a more refined design, and an XL feed tube, along with a colored cup for portability.
