Geely expands in French electric commercial vehicles market

The Chinese automotive group Geely is expanding its presence in the French market for electric commercial vehicles, having unveiled several new models during an event in Rungis on October 27, 2026. The Farizon brand, which is part of Geely's portfolio, is focusing on professional users in Europe.

Farizon SV 2027 as a flagship model

The Farizon SV for 2027 has been highlighted as a key model. This large electric van is designed to compete with the Renault Master electric and features a platform specifically developed for electric powertrains, optimizing cargo space.

Cargo capacity and drive options

The SV can carry up to 13 cubic meters of cargo and support a maximum payload of 1,290 kg. The loading threshold is positioned 520 mm from the ground, facilitating multiple deliveries throughout the day. The model is available in two versions: a two-wheel drive version with a single electric motor and an all-wheel drive version with two motors, the latter aimed at companies operating in mountainous areas or difficult weather conditions.

Battery capacity and range

The battery capacities for the Farizon SV are 83 and 100 kWh. The two-wheel drive version can travel 384 km in the mixed WLTP cycle, increasing to 500 km in urban use. The all-wheel drive version claims 380 km in the mixed cycle and 495 km in urban use.

Fast charging and pricing

Geely Farizon announced a charging time of 20-80% in 18 minutes, which could help professionals minimize interruptions during their routes. Prices for the new SV two-wheel drive model start at 43,000 euros HT, compared to 50,500 euros HT for the all-wheel drive version. The manufacturer offers several body configurations, allowing professionals to choose based on their operational needs.

New models for passenger transport

Geely also plans to introduce the Farizon SV Combi and SV Minibus, which are designed for transporting people. The SV Combi targets companies needing a versatile vehicle for different professional trips, while the SV Minibus is aimed at transport operators. Orders are already open in France, with first deliveries of the SV Minibus expected in the fourth quarter of 2026 and those of the SV Combi in the first quarter of 2027.

Compact model for urban delivery

The Farizon V7E, a more compact model, targets urban deliveries and last-mile distribution. It can carry up to 1,373 kg of goods and has a range of 328 km in the mixed WLTP cycle. The starting price for the V7E is 32,800 euros HT.

Dealer network expansion

Geely aims to expand its dealer network in France, with plans to have 20 dealerships and 30 after-sales service points by the end of 2026, increasing to over 40 dealers and 80 after-sales service points by 2027. The manufacturer has ambitious sales targets, aiming for 500 sales in 2026, 5,000 in 2028, and up to 10,000 vehicles per year by 2030.

European spare parts logistics

Geely has also established a European spare parts warehouse in Gaggenau, Germany, which allows for faster supply to distributors.
