SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Xbox Headset Pricing

The wired version of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro headset is currently available on Amazon for 149.99 €, which is the lowest price recorded on the platform, compared to an average of 204.04 € over the last 90 days.

Design for Dual-Platform Users

The wired Xbox model is intended for players who use both an Xbox and a PC. It includes a GameDAC Gen 2 housing that functions as an external sound card, allowing users to manage audio settings without a wireless connection.

Advanced Audio Features

The GameDAC Gen 2 processes sound up to 96 kHz/24 bits, with Hi-Res Audio certification. It includes an OLED screen and dial that let users adjust volume, equalizer, and ChatMix settings without leaving the game.

Dual-Source Connectivity

The GameDAC Gen 2 housing accepts two audio sources and allows users to switch between them with a button press. This makes it possible to connect an Xbox and a PC or an Xbox and a PS5 without unplugging the headset.

Microphone and Software Features

The ClearCast Gen 2 microphone retracts into the earpiece when not in use. On PC, the Sonar software provides AI-assisted background noise reduction, while the headset connects to the GameDAC Gen 2 via cable.

Use Case and Limitations

The wired model is ideal for players who use a fixed desk and alternate between an Xbox and a PC. However, it lacks active noise reduction, Bluetooth, and dual batteries, making it unsuitable for use far from the console or during travel.

Performance and Comparison

During a test, the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless model received a 10/10 rating, while the wired version was noted as very close in performance. The wired model is also about 100 € cheaper than the wireless version at launch.

Market Availability and Price Difference

On Cdiscount, the Arctis Nova Pro Xbox is listed between 384.25 € and 399 €, while Amazon offers it at 149.99 €. This represents a 26% decrease from its average price on Amazon, making it more accessible to users who want key features like a dedicated DAC and dual connectivity.

Target Audience and Trade-Offs

The wired Arctis Nova Pro Xbox is well-suited for Xbox users who also play on PC. However, those who need active noise reduction, Bluetooth, or mobility may prefer the wireless models, even if they cost more. Some advanced features are also limited to users with a PC running Windows.
