Price reduction for Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro

The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro smartwatch is now available for 249.99 euros, which is about 11 percent less than its usual price. This discount is currently offered exclusively on Boulanger.com.

How the price reduction is calculated

The price decrease is determined by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices offered by all merchants for the product last month. This method excludes prices from stores with unclear VAT policies, often referred to as "gray" stores, particularly those importing products from China.

New features for athletes and less active users

Huawei has introduced the Watch Fit 5 Pro to support athletes during training and to encourage less active individuals to reduce sedentary behavior. The device is designed to offer a balance between fitness tracking and general well-being features.

Design and performance highlights

The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro has a well-finished casing and offers a comfortable battery life with fast charging. It also provides accurate heart rate tracking, though its bracelet is not considered very pleasant.

Limitations and ongoing improvements

Despite its improvements over the previous model, the Watch Fit 5 Pro has some drawbacks. Its software ecosystem remains limited, and the device is growing in size each year, which may not suit users with smaller wrists.

Alternative option: Amazfit Balance 2

The Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch offers a pleasant user experience and good battery life. It is equipped with sensors and is durable, though it has a bulky design and some limitations in heart rate accuracy and software functionality.

NFC payment and software constraints

The Amazfit Balance 2 lacks NFC payment capabilities and has a closed software environment, which limits its appeal. These issues prevent it from being a complete alternative to the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro.
