Game release date announced
During today's Nintendo Indie World Showcase, CRITICAL REFLEX and developer Denkiworks announced the release date of TANUKI: Pon’s Summer, scheduled for November 10 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, XBOX Series X|S, XBOX Game Pass and XBOX on PC, and revealed for the first time today on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Players can now pre-order this open-world adventure game, featuring BMX and package delivery, for 19.99 € on XBOX and the Nintendo eShop.Game premise and setting
TANUKI: Pon’s Summer follows Pon, a part-time mail deliverer and full-time showoff tanuki who tries to restore the Great Tanuki Sanctuary for a lifetime festival before the end of summer. The game includes exploration of a picturesque Japanese island brought to life by colorful illustrations and participation in a multitude of mini-games, including delivering mail, performing BMX tricks, helping and befriending locals, and participating in fun summer activities and sports.Gameplay features
Main features include delivering mail with style by riding a BMX to deliver letters and packages to the island's inhabitants, exploring the island on two wheels with BMX challenges, making friends through summer activities such as preparing sushi and joining sports, and restoring the sanctuary with money and items earned through deliveries and activities.Crossover content and platform flexibility
Pon will also be able to wear unique crossover hats inspired by games such as Hollow Knight: Silksong, PEAK, Shovel Knight and many others. Players who purchase TANUKI: Pon’s Summer on Nintendo Switch can unlock the Nintendo Switch 2 version (and vice versa) without additional charges.
