Nîmes Olympique will not field a reserve team in its Coupe de France match against Lattes. Coach Helder Esteves emphasized that the team will be competitive, stating, "It will not be a reserve team. I cannot imagine playing a match just to not win it. I do not want to play a joke." Esteves noted that despite the four divisions separating the teams, the match will be taken seriously. The coach will be without several players, including Depres, Caoki, Corain, Salamone, and Dias, due to injury or other reasons. While some players who have been heavily used this season may be rested, no players from the reserve team will be called upon. Players who have seen little or no action this season, such as Sylla, Mbemba, Dos Santos, Khalid, Dansokho, Silvente, and Diarra, may get playing time. The match may be affected by rain, as both the Gard and Hérault departments are under an orange alert for rain, flooding, thunderstorms, and floods. The match will be held at Sussargues, a commune in Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, about twenty kilometers from the Mosson stadium, due to potential disruptions from fans of MHSC and the mobilization of police for the Pope's visit to Lourdes. A confusion involving a player named Makan Traoré occurred during the OAC-MHSC II match. Officials discovered that the starting left-back had disappeared from the club's registered players list. It was later determined that the name was confused with another Makan Traoré, a player from the Red Star reserve team born in 2009, 17 years apart from the Alésian player. To avoid administrative errors, the Cévennes officials decided not to call up Makan Traoré and instead used Loris Tailhandier, who had to be evacuated after a head injury. Tom Larcier, the third-choice left-back, was called upon and scored the only goal in the 1-2 defeat. The Étoile de Bessèges will host the 2027 Tour du Gard from 3 to 7 February. The route includes three classic stages: Bellegarde–Bellegarde (150 km), Bessèges–Bessèges (162 km), and an individual time trial in Alès. Two new stages have been added: Saint-Gilles–Nîmes (154 km) and Laudun L’Ardoise–Le Mont Bouquet. Nîmes has not hosted the event since 2018. In equestrian events, the Licorne stables in Marguerittes achieved a full house at the European championship of equestrian work. Clara Fernandez Raibaud won the European junior championship on Fiesta de Calabrun, while Elsa Kaszuba won bronze on Feria de la Gaidocienne. The team also won the European championship in the "Young Riders" category, with Charlotte Paredes crowned European champion in individual and vice-champion in team.
