MSI has unveiled the MAG 274UPF E2, a new 27-inch gaming monitor designed for high-performance visual experiences. It features a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), offering sharp and detailed images, and a maximum refresh rate of 160 Hz, which helps make motion appear smoother. The monitor utilizes Rapid IPS technology, a type of panel technology known for its fast response times, which is crucial for gaming where quick movement rendering is essential. The MAG 274UPF E2 has a dynamic refresh rate that can vary between 48 Hz and 160 Hz, depending on the content being displayed, and it boasts a response time of 0.5 milliseconds (GtG), which refers to the time it takes for a pixel to change from one color to another. This low response time helps reduce motion blur, making it ideal for fast-paced games like first-person shooters and racing games where precise visuals are important. The monitor also supports AMD FreeSync, a technology that synchronizes the display's refresh rate with the GPU's output to minimize screen tearing and improve overall smoothness. In terms of brightness and color, the MAG 274UPF E2 has a typical brightness level of 400 nits, which is a measure of how bright the screen can get, and it is certified for VESA DisplayHDR 400, ensuring a wide range of brightness and color accuracy. It also covers 133% of the sRGB color space, which is useful for both gaming and content creation. The monitor includes a variety of ports, including DisplayPort 1.4a, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. This USB-C port can transmit a 4K image at 160 Hz and can charge compatible devices with up to 15 watts of power. The HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K resolution at 120 Hz and offer a high bandwidth of up to 48 Gb/s with variable refresh rate (VRR) support, which allows the display to adjust its refresh rate dynamically to match the content being shown. The MAG 274UPF E2 is currently available for purchase on Amazon at a price of 330.76 euros.
