Rumors are growing that the Beats 360 headphones, a new line of wireless earbuds, may be released later in September. This speculation comes from a recent firmware update discovered on the devices, which suggests they are nearing an official announcement. The update appears to be part of Apple's ongoing development process, even though Apple recently held a major product launch event. This is not uncommon, as Apple often allows its Beats sub-brand to operate with a degree of independence. The firmware update was found on the same pair of Beats 360 headphones that have been spotted on several soccer players during the World Cup. This indicates that Apple has been testing the devices for some time, possibly in real-world conditions. Although the exact changes in the firmware are not fully known, the update is considered a strong sign that the product is close to being officially released. Apple typically gives Beats a level of autonomy, allowing new products to be launched even after Apple's major events. The Beats 360 are expected to be a major upgrade from previous models, though it remains to be seen how they will stack up against other headphones on the market. The last time Beats introduced a new product was in October 2025 with the Powerbeats Fit, which suggests a similar release window for the Beats 360. While the Beats 360 are the main focus of current rumors, it is unclear if they will be the only new product from the brand. Other models or designs could also be introduced alongside or in place of the Beats 360. As the release date approaches, more details about the features and pricing of the headphones are expected to emerge.
