Images of the upcoming **Fire TV Stick 4K** from Amazon have been leaked by the German website WinFuture, which published them on Monday, September 28. The images were obtained from resellers who have already listed the product online, though Amazon has not yet made an official announcement. The leak was provided by Roland Quandt, a journalist from WinFuture known for sharing visuals of devices before their official release. The most noticeable change for users of the Fire TV Stick is the redesigned remote control. The new remote features a more angular layout, with the Alexa button relocated to the top right corner. The top of the remote is now straight, unlike the rounded design of previous models. A backlit and animated Home button is also included, which WinFuture believes will indicate different tasks or activities. Additional buttons include favorites, settings, and a channel switcher, while direct shortcuts to services like Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+ remain unchanged. A similar Fire TV remote was spotted earlier this year. On August 20, 2026, journalist Janko Roettgers found it in the files of the FCC, the American regulatory body that approves wireless devices before they are sold in the U.S. However, the file did not include images or details, making it unclear if this new remote is the same model. Technical details such as the processor, connectivity, and storage are still unknown, as well as the operating system. Amazon currently uses two systems: Fire OS, a modified version of Android, on the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus and 4K Max, and Vega OS, a custom system based on Linux, on the HD and 4K Select models. The price of the new Fire TV Stick 4K has not been revealed either, but it is expected to fall into a price range that is already more expensive. Amazon recently increased the prices of its Fire TVs in France, citing rising costs of memory chips used in AI data centers. WinFuture predicts that Amazon will announce the new Fire TV Stick 4K in the coming days, following its last major device launch on September 30, 2025. Until then, potential buyers are advised to wait for an official announcement or compare it with other available HDMI keys and TV boxes on the market.
