The Normandy Excellence Festival (Fêno) is set to return to the Caen Exhibition Park from October 16 to 18. Organized by the Normandy Region, this seventh edition will feature 420 exhibitors spread across eight thematic spaces, showcasing the region’s agricultural and food industries. The event aims to highlight the variety of local products and the expertise behind them, while also encouraging interaction between producers and consumers.
One of the main attractions is the "L'Eau à la bouche" space, which will display a wide range of Normandy’s food products, including meats, seafood, AOP and AOC cheeses, cider, biscuits, and vegetables. Nearly thirty culinary demonstrations and activities are planned, offering visitors a chance to learn more about the region’s gastronomic traditions. A beer bar will host seventeen local brewers, giving attendees the opportunity to sample a variety of Norman brews.
A gourmet hall will bring together key sectors of the region’s food industry. The seafood counter will feature oyster farmers, clam producers, and professionals in scallop farming, while the dairy section will showcase the four AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) cheeses produced in Normandy. Outside, a farm area will provide an immersive experience into agricultural practices. Visitors can see various animal breeds, some of which are protected under the regional preservation plan, and interact directly with farmers. A shop will also be available for visitors to purchase products from these breeds.
The Fêno will take place at the Caen Exhibition Park. The event will be open on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with extended hours until 11 p.m. for food and performances. On Sunday, October 18, the festival will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Entry is free for all visitors.
