Huawei has introduced two new smartwatches in France this month: the Watch GT 7 and the Watch GT 7 Pro. These devices are designed for fitness enthusiasts and everyday users, offering up to 21 days of battery life, which is significantly longer than many competing models. The Watch GT 5, launched in September 2024, also features a long battery life of up to 14 days and includes a range of health and fitness sensors. The Watch GT 5 (46 mm) was initially priced at 269.99 euros, but its cost has since dropped to 139.99 euros. Currently, it can be purchased for as low as 124.99 euros on Amazon, but this offer is only available to Prime subscribers and is valid until Monday, September 28. The watch includes a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and features Huawei's TruSense heart rate sensor. It is certified IP69K and 5 ATM, meaning it can withstand sweat, high-pressure water jets, and swimming in a pool. However, Huawei does not recommend it for diving, as the 5 ATM rating is for 50 meters of water pressure for only 10 minutes. The Watch GT 5 has a stainless steel case, while the Watch GT 7 Pro uses titanium. The standard Watch GT 5 is lighter, weighing about 48 grams without the strap, compared to 53 grams for the Watch GT 7 Pro in the same 46 mm size. The Watch GT 5 includes features such as heart rate and blood oxygen level (SpO2) monitoring, sleep quality analysis, menstrual cycle tracking, and over 100 training modes. Athletes can use the RouteDraw feature to create or follow popular running routes. The watch also has a light sensor and allows users to reply to messages using a touch keyboard. Its screen supports Always-On mode, keeping the time and other information visible at all times. The new Watch GT 7 has a slightly larger screen (1.47 inches), though the difference is minimal. Both models continue Huawei's focus on combining long battery life with advanced health and fitness tracking capabilities, making them appealing to a wide range of users.
