Vorwerk, a German company known for its kitchen appliances and cooking tools, has launched a new feature called Cookidoo Assist. This AI-powered assistant is integrated into the Cookidoo mobile app, allowing users to search for recipes using natural language rather than traditional filters. For example, a user could type, “Find me a chicken recipe with tomatoes and no dairy,” and the assistant would suggest matching recipes. This update aims to make recipe searching more intuitive and user-friendly. Cookidoo Assist became available to the public on Monday, September 21, after being tested by Thermomix consultants—experts who use Vorwerk’s popular Thermomix kitchen machines. Alongside the AI assistant, Vorwerk introduced a recipe translation feature in the app, supporting several European languages. The company plans to gradually expand this functionality to include more languages in the future. The TM7, Vorwerk’s latest smart cooking device, now supports the Arabic language. A software update released on September 21 allows users to select Arabic in the device settings. The TM7’s interface is fully adapted for Arabic, including right-to-left text formatting, which is standard in Arabic script. Users can now search for recipes, follow guided cooking instructions, and access over 100 Arabic recipes at launch. These recipes draw inspiration from various cuisines across the Middle East and North Africa, including Morocco, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Tunisia, and Egypt. While the full Cookidoo interface in Arabic is not yet available on the website or app, users can already search for recipes in Arabic. In this mode, the recipes are displayed in Arabic, while the rest of the app remains in the user’s preferred language. This feature marks a significant step in making Vorwerk’s cooking resources more accessible to Arabic-speaking users, even as the company continues to develop a fully localized experience.
