Campaign focuses on disability and sexual violence
The association Souboutou Ouhédzé Jilaho (SOJ) is highlighting the prevention of sexual violence against people with disabilities in its third edition of the TARIMI campaign, set for November in Mayotte.Campaign returns to Mayotte
Launched in 2024, the TARIMI campaign is returning to Mayotte in November, led by SOJ and chaired by Delayde Hassani. The initiative aims to prevent sexual and sexist violence and promote open dialogue about the issue.People with disabilities are prioritized
This edition of the campaign places people with disabilities at its center, as they are "particularly exposed to sexual violence and often deprived of the means to report it," according to a statement from the association. The campaign seeks to make prevention more accessible through inclusive messages and formats.Educational tools support the campaign
Several educational tools are being used, including the autobiographical book Ose et ça ira, children's books Lakinta and le secret d'oiseau, and the musical album TARIMI Tsika. An educational card game, LAGUWA, will also be presented in French sign language and with pictograms.Four events planned for November
Four events are scheduled for November 2026, starting with a seminar on November 6 and ending with a white ribbon march on November 22. Details for each event are being finalized.
