The Department of Drôme wins gold, silver, and bronze at Territoria 2026 Awards for environmental, governance, and communication projects.
Department of Drôme wins three awards
The Department of Drôme received three awards at the Territoria 2026 Awards, which honor projects in environmental efforts, municipal support, and internal communication.
Gold award for environmental game
The gold award went to the Departmental Council of Young People (CDJ) for its board game Mal'eau in the "Environmental Challenges" category. The game teaches players about water conservation by having them manage four villages affected by climate change.
Game format and purpose
Mal'eau is available both as a physical board game and a downloadable version. Players must work together to conserve water resources and succeed in the game.
Silver award for governance platform
The silver award recognized the Department of Drôme’s platform collectivites.ladrome.fr in the "Governance" category. This website is designed to help elected officials and local government workers, especially in small towns, by providing resources and contacts for their projects.
Platform features
The platform includes a search engine and maps of past achievements, helping users find information and examples of successful local initiatives.
Bronze award for communication event
The bronze award was given for the ceremony of wishes for departmental staff, an event inspired by the Oscars. It featured employee-made videos and awards to celebrate the roles of the 2,700 departmental staff members.
Official ceremony date
The official Territoria 2026 Awards ceremony is set to take place on November 10 at the National Assembly in Paris. Franck Soulignac, president of the Departmental Council of Drôme, called the three awards a "beautiful recognition of the work and commitment of our teams."
