Drôme's Youth Council unveils five projects to address mental health, cyberbullying, and environmental issues among middle school students.
Youth council presents five projects
The 72 members of the Departmental Youth Council of Drôme have presented five projects conceived during their mandate. These initiatives, focused on mental health, community living, and the environment, are aimed at raising awareness among middle school students.Projects focus on student concerns
Divided into five commissions, these middle school students have imagined initiatives around issues that directly concern them. From cyberbullying to mental health, among the projects presented, the "Écrans sans violence" festival aims to raise awareness among students and their parents about cyberbullying.Interactive activities tested in classrooms
Improvisational theater, escape games, and quizzes are intended to help identify these situations and respond to them. The activities have already been tested with four 5th-grade classes.Mental health initiative encourages dialogue
Mental health also plays an important role. With "Moi ça va, et toi ?", the young elected officials propose a day of workshops and exchanges to encourage middle school students to talk about their difficulties and better understand their emotions.Focus on responsible fashion and history
The young elected officials have also looked at the environmental and social consequences of fast fashion. They created a website offering advice on how to consume differently, after having met several local actors in the reuse sector. Finally, on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the birth of Madame de Sévigné, a video shot notably at the Château de Grignan features the marquise advising a student lacking confidence. A quiz completes this project dedicated to the power of words.New council to be elected soon
These five initiatives mark the end of the term of the young elected officials. A new class must be elected in October, before its official installation on November 16th.
