Jules Danglot to join Section Paloise

Jules Danglot, a 25-year-old scrum half from Colomiers, is expected to return to the Top 14 with Section Paloise, according to reports from Midi Olympique and Rugbyrama. Despite interest from Toulon and La Rochelle, Danglot is said to have chosen Pau, with a commitment until 2029. The transfer remains to be officially confirmed.

Danglot’s recent rugby career

Danglot had previously played for RC Toulon between 2021 and 2025 before leaving to gain playing time in Pro D2 with Colomiers. His performances there attracted attention from elite teams, with Toulon hoping to bring him back and La Rochelle making an offer. However, according to Rugbyrama, Danglot has favored Pau for the upcoming season.

Danglot’s strong season

Danglot has demonstrated strong offensive efficiency this season, scoring five tries in seven appearances. He also accumulated experience over 22 matches in the previous season. At Pau, he would reunite with former Colomiers teammates Rodrigo Marta and Alexandre Etchebehere, which could aid his integration into the team.

Section Paloise’s scrum half options

Section Paloise already has several scrum half options, including Thibault Daubagna and Thomas Souverbie, who have both extended their contracts until 2029. Gonzalo Garcia, an Argentine international, has an additional year on his contract as an option, and Gabriel Elissalde is also on the roster. The potential arrival of Danglot raises questions about his place in the team hierarchy, though no departures have been announced.

Danglot as a potential asset

With a number 9 capable of regularly scoring tries, Pau would add a strong asset to its arsenal. Danglot’s ability to contribute offensively could strengthen the team’s performance in the Top 14, particularly in high-pressure matches.
