At the recent IFA trade show, AWOL Vision unveiled its latest high-end projector, the LuxVision, which has drawn attention for its innovative optical lens shift technology. This feature allows the image to be adjusted vertically without moving the projector itself, ensuring the picture remains sharp and unaltered, avoiding the need for digital cropping. The lens shift offers an adjustable offset range between 142 and 152 percent, giving users a wide margin for height adjustments—something that is rare in short-throw projectors. This makes the LuxVision particularly versatile for different room setups and ceiling heights. The LuxVision is positioned as the flagship model in AWOL’s product lineup, outperforming previous models like the Aetherion Pro and Max. It uses a triple laser RGB light source, which provides a brightness level of up to 6,000 lumens ISO. This brightness, combined with the ability to cover 110 percent of the Rec.2020 color space, ensures vibrant and accurate color reproduction. The projector also includes a mechanical iris that enhances contrast, offering up to 10,000:1 contrast ratio, and can reach 100,000:1 with EBL (Enhanced Black Level) processing activated. In terms of performance, the LuxVision supports 4K resolution at 120 Hz, making it ideal for high-end gaming and content consumption. It also includes features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Dolby Vision Gaming, with a latency as low as one millisecond—critical for gamers seeking a responsive experience. Connectivity is robust, featuring three HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort, and a Multiview function that allows up to four sources to be displayed simultaneously on one screen. Additional features include support for Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, and 3D content. With a projection ratio of 0.18:1, the LuxVision can project a maximum diagonal image size of 200 inches, making it suitable for large home theaters or commercial spaces. The projector is expected to be available at select retailers by the end of October 2026, with a recommended retail price of 5,999 euros. AWOL also showcased multiple design options, including a gold finish, allowing buyers to choose a look that complements their interior decor.
