The traditional sale Races de France sélection took place on Tuesday, October 6, at the Zénith d'Auvergne for its sixth edition. Eighteen animals from nine beef breeds were presented at auction, with the event held simultaneously online and in person. This year, alongside the traditional heifers, the Charolaise and the Limousine breeds presented two young males each. Hugues Pichard, president of Races de France, stated in his opening remarks that the 2026 edition symbolizes the collective will of selection organizations to promote French genetic excellence and highlight the work of breeders committed to genetic progress. The Parthenaise was selected by lottery to open the sale.
