Genève Aéroport expands winter 2026-2027 flight options with 123 destinations, new routes, and increased frequencies from 52 airlines.
Winter flight destinations expand
Genève Aéroport will offer 123 direct flight destinations during the winter season of 2026-2027, operated by 52 different airlines. The program includes new European routes, extended summer services, and more frequent flights, while long-haul connections to North America and China remain unchanged. New airlines and routes added
The winter program introduces new destinations, airlines, and more frequent services. EasyJet, airBaltic, and Jet2 are among the carriers launching new routes, while Air Europa will continue its service to Madrid, which began in the summer of 2026. EasyJet expands its European reach
EasyJet is expanding its services to Italy and the United Kingdom. Starting October 25, the airline will operate six flights per week from Geneva to Milan-Linate. It will also offer two weekly flights to Cagliari and maintain two weekly flights to Tanger until the end of November. Additional European connections
London, Reykjavik, and Vilnius are among the new developments. Jet2 will add four weekly flights to London-Gatwick and a flight to London-Luton. These services will complement existing routes from easyJet, British Airways, SWISS, and TUI Airways. Iceland and Baltic connections
Icelandair will offer two flights per week to Reykjavik, while airBaltic will launch a weekly service to Vilnius. GP Aviation will operate three flights per week to Pristina. Northern European destinations like Tromsø, Stockholm, and Helsinki will remain accessible via direct flights from multiple carriers. Madrid links to South America
Air Europa will maintain its two daily flights to Madrid, which provide access to 22 cities in South America and the Caribbean, as well as Miami and Johannesburg. This route, launched in summer 2026, strengthens Geneva’s connectivity to major international hubs. Long-haul flights to North America and China
SWISS, United Airlines, and Air Canada will offer regular flights to North America, including New York, Newark, and Montreal. China will be connected via five weekly flights to Beijing and four to Shanghai, operated by Air China and China Eastern Airlines. Regional uncertainties remain
The airport’s manager notes that flight programs to certain Middle Eastern and Gulf destinations may change due to regional geopolitical factors. Despite this, direct flights to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Addis Ababa, and Mauritius will continue. Leisure travel to Mediterranean and Canary Islands
The winter program includes leisure destinations in Morocco and Egypt, such as Agadir, Marrakech, and Hurghada. Travelers can also reach the Canary Islands directly, with flights to Tenerife, Las Palmas, and Fuerteventura. Shift in passenger trends
Business travel is declining slightly at Genève Aéroport, while leisure and family travel are increasing. The airport handled 17.8 million passengers in 2025, with higher occupancy rates and larger aircraft, despite fewer flight movements.
