Competition expands its focus

The Nous Autres competition, created by CASDEN Banque Populaire, the Lilian Thuram Foundation, and the Ministry of National Education, now includes all forms of discrimination, such as sexism, homophobia, and rejection of difference, in addition to its traditional focus on racism.

Expanded participation opportunities

Previously aimed at students from kindergarten to sixth grade, the competition is now open to middle school students up to third grade, as well as ULIS classes, medical and educational institutes (IME), and French schools abroad.

Creative expression required

To take part, students must create a collective artistic production that reflects their understanding of prejudice and civic engagement. Possible forms of expression include poetry, storytelling, song, theater, and mime, all aligned with school curricula.

Submission deadline and process

Teachers have until March 8, 2027, to register their class and submit their creation through the competition’s dedicated website. Selected entries will be judged by a panel before the winners are announced.

Awards and recognition

Winning classes will be invited to Paris on May 4, 2027, for a ceremony at the theater of the Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac museum. They will present their works, receive prizes, and explore the museum's collections. Prizes include reading checks, books, educational materials, diplomas, and a signed photo of Lilian Thuram.

Goal of the competition

With this new edition, the Nous Autres competition aims to use creativity as a tool to challenge prejudices and promote a more equal and inclusive society.
