New model released in September

One year after entering the audio headset market with its Headphone (1), Nothing officially announced in September a slightly more expensive but better-equipped model: the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro, which features three drivers per ear cup. The headset is noted for its effective active noise cancellation (ANC) and good battery life, earning it a 9/10 rating. Currently, the headset is benefiting from a small discount of 13 euros, with the model launched at 349 euros now available on promotion at 336.46 euros on Amazon.

Advanced audio technology

The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro includes three drivers per ear cup—two dynamic and one xMEMS—allowing for detailed sound rendering by handling different frequency ranges (bass, midrange, treble) with less distortion and more responsiveness. This is combined with digital filtering and dedicated amplification for each channel.

Connectivity and features

The headset also includes a 3.5 mm mini-jack for Hi-Res listening up to 24 bits/96 kHz, a USB-C port for digital audio up to 24 bits/192 kHz without compression, and supports Bluetooth 6.1 with codecs including SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3 for Auracast audio broadcast.

Customization and performance

The Nothing X application provides access to a parametric equalizer and Metropolis Studios profiles for different sound signatures. The ANC is considered very effective, with ten microphones compared to six on the previous model, offering up to 46 dB of attenuation. The battery life is up to 68 hours without ANC and 30 hours with it activated, compared to 35 hours with ANC on the Headphone (1). Charging takes five minutes for two hours of listening with ANC and two hours for a full charge via USB-C.

Design and comfort

The headset is designed for comfort, with a wider headband, thicker padding, and softer ear cushions, and a weight of 327 grams. It retains the brand's signature 80's look with square housings and transparent glass. The physical controls include a dial and an intuitive panel.
