GTA VI marketing reaches global scale

The marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto VI has expanded to an unprecedented level, with major efforts in cities like Paris, Miami, and others, all ahead of its November 19 release. The campaign draws heavily from the fictional city of Vice City, which is directly inspired by Miami.

Stade de France becomes part of the campaign

The Stade de France, France's largest stadium, adopted the colors of Vice City and posted a message on its social media on October 30, welcoming fans to "Vice City" with a video. The stadium, known for hosting major events, has become a central element of the campaign.

Mercuriales towers in Paris transformed

The Mercuriales towers in Bagnolet, near Paris, have been transformed with a giant jacket displaying the GTA 6 logo. However, some weapons have been removed from the design, a change also seen in posters in New York's Times Square, though the reasons for the alterations remain unclear.

Miami sees major campaign investments

In Miami, the campaign is highly visible, with the slogan "Welcome to Vice City" displayed on the roof of the Kaseya Center for 975,000 dollars. The sign is expected to remain visible until April 2027, and the city has also approved additional banners and beach furniture with the GTA VI logo.

Rockstar and Take-Two keep details private

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not revealed the full cost of the campaign, but Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, suggested it would be extensive, though with fewer TV ads than for GTA V. A large preview of the game on Netflix received 31.1 million views in four days.

Campaign builds momentum ahead of release

The campaign continues to grow, with the Miami Heat set to host the Milwaukee Bucks on November 18 in a game featuring Vice City-themed uniforms and a court. French players will be able to launch the game an hour before its official release, and digital versions can be preloaded starting November 12. Nearly one in three American players plans to buy the game, according to Circana.
