Dancer Laura Frigato and choreographer Pierre Pontvianne explore physical expression in LAST TOUCH, a paradoxical solo performance that merges multiple identities and forms.
Dance performance explores physical expression
The dance performance LAST TOUCH, created by choreographer Pierre Pontvianne and performed by Laura Frigato, explores the full range of physical expression through the body, encompassing lyrical, clownish, academic, and grotesque forms. The piece is described as a paradoxical solo that becomes a survival strategy, with the body serving as both passage and passenger in an effort to preserve itself. It merges with otherness, incorporating images beyond its own form.Performance presents contrasting figures
Through mimicry and the repetition of postures and beings, the performance presents a variety of contrasting figures, including masculine, feminine, animal, abstract, poetic, political, critical, visceral, superficial, and ambiguous elements. Laura Frigato is noted for her virtuosity in handling an immense palette of figures.Title reflects closure and transition
LAST TOUCH is not only interpreted as the final touch added to a painting but also as a departure from a universe of relationships and characters. It is likened to a census conducted to close a chapter, representing everything one must go through to move on to something else. The long-standing collaboration between choreographer Pierre Pontvianne and performer Laura Frigato is highlighted as a key element in delivering the performance in a surprising and vivid manner.Performance dates and locations
