The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6, priced under 100 euros, offers enhanced features and long battery life, now available in France after its October 2025 launch.
Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 released in France
The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6, first launched in China in October 2025, is now available in France at a price just under 100 euros. It is the latest model in Xiaomi's line of budget-friendly smartwatches, retaining many features from the previous Redmi Watch 5 while improving on certain aspects.Enhanced display and design
The watch features a 2.07-inch AMOLED square screen with a maximum brightness of 2,000 cd/m², an increase from the previous model's 1,500 cd/m². The casing has been slightly refined, and the overall weight has been reduced, making it more comfortable for daily wear.Technical specifications and features
Measuring 46.45 mm x 40.03 mm x 9.94 mm, the Redmi Watch 6 has a 432 x 514 pixel AMOLED display and weighs 31 grams. It includes an accelerometer, electronic compass, sleep analysis, ambient light sensor, and a 5ATM waterproof rating. It is suitable for swimming but not for diving or high-pressure water activities.Operating system and user interface
The watch runs on Xiaomi HyperOS, a custom operating system designed for smartwatches. It offers a fast and efficient user experience with 512 MB of storage. The interface supports touch gestures and a new side button for quick access to features like flashlight, notifications, and "Do Not Disturb" mode.Health and fitness tracking capabilities
The Mi Fitness app collects and displays data such as step count, calories burned, heart rate, sleep tracking, and stress levels. While the app includes advanced features like blood pressure measurement, these are not supported by the watch itself. The device offers 150 sports modes and estimates VO2 max, recovery time, and training levels.GPS and heart rate accuracy
The Redmi Watch 6 uses a single-band GNSS and includes a gyroscope, accelerometer, and electronic compass. GPS accuracy was tested against an Apple Watch Series 9 and showed minor discrepancies in urban areas. The heart rate monitor was tested against a Polar H10 chest strap and showed high accuracy with only slight delays at the start of exercise.Battery life and charging
The watch has a 550 mAh battery, offering up to 24 days of light use, 12 days of normal use, and 7 days of intensive use. During testing with continuous heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, the watch lasted six days, slightly less than the manufacturer's claim. It charges via a proprietary USB-A cable, taking 35 minutes to reach 50% and 1 hour 50 minutes for a full charge.Availability and connectivity options
The Redmi Watch 6 is available in France in black, gray, and blue at a price of 99.99 euros. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity and allows direct calls from the wrist when paired with a smartphone. However, it does not support eSIM, Wi-Fi, or NFC, which means it cannot be used for contactless payments.
