Xiaomi launches new wearable devices in France

Xiaomi introduced three new wearable devices in France at the start of September: the Redmi Watch 6 Lite, the Redmi Watch 6 Active, and the Smart Band 11 Active. These devices are part of Xiaomi’s expanding lineup of smart wearables aimed at fitness and health tracking.

Pricing and key differences between models

The Redmi Watch 6 Lite is priced at 69.99 euros, which is 20 euros more than the Redmi Watch 6 Active (49.99 euros). The higher price is due to a larger 1.96 inch AMOLED screen and an integrated GPS, which allows route tracking without a smartphone.

Screen features and battery life

The Redmi Watch 6 Lite has a rectangular AMOLED screen measuring 1.96 inches with a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1500 nits. It supports an always-on mode that adjusts lighting based on ambient light, though this feature reduces battery life. Xiaomi claims up to 18 days of battery life in moderate use.

Design and water resistance

The watch has a slim design, measuring 47.1 x 39.6 x 9.9 mm and weighing 27.8 grams without the strap. It is comfortable for daily wear and includes GNSS compatibility with five satellite systems. However, it lacks detailed mapping or advanced navigation features. It is also water-resistant with a 5 ATM certification, allowing use in swimming but not in showers, saunas, or deep diving.

Health and fitness features

The Redmi Watch 6 Lite supports continuous tracking of heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and stress, along with guided breathing exercises and a menstrual cycle tracker. It also offers more than 150 sports modes and enhanced swimming tracking with a nine-axis sensor. These features are useful for daily well-being but are not intended for medical use.

Current availability and price

The Redmi Watch 6 Lite is currently available on Amazon for 61.58 euros, though this price may change. The watch has already lost 12% of its value since its launch, indicating potential market adjustments or consumer behavior shifts.
