Amazon has reduced the price of some of its own devices, including the Blink Video Doorbell, in preparation for its upcoming Prime Big Deal Days sale next week. The Blink Video Doorbell System is now available for AU$27.99, which matches its lowest price ever seen during the July Prime Day sale. This discount also applies to a bundle that includes the doorbell and two Blink Mini 2K+ cameras for AU$48, offering a 74% discount on the combined set. The Blink Video Doorbell System is marketed as one of the simplest security systems to install. It offers two mounting options and can be set up using the Blink mobile app with the included Sync Module Core, which acts as the central hub for the system. According to the company, the setup process only takes three steps. The device features a 1440p resolution and 30 frames per second, ensuring clear and smooth video. It also has a wide 150º horizontal field of view and a battery life of up to two years when using three AA lithium batteries. While the doorbell does not come with an indoor chime, it can be paired with a Blink Mini camera sold separately or connected through the Alexa app on a smartphone to an Amazon Fire Stick or Echo Show for viewing visitors on a TV or smart display. However, many features such as video recording, cloud storage, video sharing, and object detection are only accessible through subscription plans. The Blink Basic Plan costs AU$4.95 per month or AU$49.95 per year for one device. The Blink Plus Plan, which allows unlimited Blink devices, costs AU$15 per month or AU$150 per year. In addition to the Blink Video Doorbell, Amazon has also lowered the prices of several other Blink video doorbell models and cameras ahead of the sale, offering customers more options for home security at reduced prices.
