Sungrow and BayWa r.e. form partnership

Sungrow, a company that provides solar and energy storage systems, has partnered with BayWa r.e. Solar Distribution France to expand the range of solar, storage, and electric vehicle charging options available for homes in France. This collaboration aims to address the relatively low adoption of solar technology in French households.

Low solar adoption in France

France has one of the lowest rates of solar panel installation in Europe, with only about 4 percent of single-family homes equipped with solar systems. This partnership is intended to increase access to solar and related technologies for French consumers.

Expanded product range

With this partnership, BayWa r.e. Solar Distribution France will offer Sungrow’s full range of residential solar and energy storage products. These include inverters that convert solar energy into usable electricity, storage systems with and without backup power, and smart energy management tools. The products will be available through two of BayWa r.e.’s warehouses in southern and central France.

Electric vehicle charging included

The partnership also covers electric mobility solutions. BayWa r.e. will distribute Sungrow’s AC and DC charging stations, which allow for faster and more flexible charging of electric vehicles. This will help meet the growing demand for home-based EV charging and solar integration.

Product showcase at Paris fair

At the Solar&Storage fair in Paris, scheduled for October 14 and 15, both companies will showcase their residential energy solutions on BayWa r.e.’s exhibition stand. Among the highlights will be the PowerKeeper storage system, a modular battery with a capacity ranging from 50 kWh to 1 MWh.
