Beyerdynamic, a well-known name in audio equipment, has introduced its new Aventho Y wireless over-ear headphones at IFA 2026, a major electronics trade show in Berlin. These headphones stand out with a claimed 90-hour battery life, a foldable design for easy storage, and a built-in compartment in one of the ear cups to store accessories like a USB-C dongle or spare battery. The Aventho Y is available in four distinct colors—Liquid Black, Blue Fusion, Soft Jade, and Peach Blush—each intended to evoke a unique emotional response to music, even though the company says all versions offer the same sound quality and features. The Aventho Y comes with optional accessories, including ultra-soft velour ear pads in black or grey, and an upgrade bundle that includes a low-latency USB-C dongle and a detachable boom microphone. Designed for long-term use, the headphones feature a user-replaceable battery, magnetic ear pads for easy swapping, and durable components like aluminum sliders and stainless-steel hinges. A built-in compartment inside the ear cup keeps the optional USB-C dongle and spare battery secure and within reach. The headphones support the latest Bluetooth 6.0 technology with multipoint connectivity, allowing them to pair with multiple devices simultaneously. The 90-hour battery life is based on using the headphones without active noise cancellation (ANC), while up to 60 hours of playback is possible with ANC enabled. A quick five-minute charge is said to provide up to six hours of playback, making the Aventho Y suitable for long listening sessions. Through the Beyerdynamic app, users can personalize their listening experience by adjusting EQ settings, choosing sound presets based on music genres, receiving firmware updates, and managing smart features like auto power-off. The basic package includes a USB-C cable for charging and audio, as well as a soft carrying bag, but hard-shell cases are sold separately. The Beyerdynamic Aventho Y will be available for purchase at $149.99 (approximately £110 or AU$208) soon. Attendees of IFA 2026 can try the Aventho Y in person at the Beyerdynamic booth, located in Hall 4.2, booth #147, starting September 4.
