Many consumers are choosing between a simple all-in-one soundbar and a more expensive option that includes rear satellite speakers for a more immersive surround sound experience. One of the most distinctive choices in this category is the JBL Bar 700 Mark 2 system, which includes two modular speakers that can be charged when connected to the soundbar. When separated, these battery-powered speakers can be mounted anywhere and last up to ten hours before needing a recharge. For those who value flexibility, the system is currently available at Amazon for $549.99, a significant discount from its original price of $899.99. The JBL Bar 700 Mark 2 stands out with its advanced audio features. The main soundbar provides 7.1 channels of sound, including two side-firing tweeters that enhance Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X audio experiences. It also offers robust connectivity options, such as HDMI in with HDR 10 Plus and Dolby Vision support, HDMI out with ARC and eARC capabilities, and optical audio. The package includes a wireless subwoofer and mounting hardware, making it versatile for various setups. One of the most practical features of the Bar 700 Mark 2 is the ability to take one of its satellite speakers around the house or apartment, allowing users to enjoy audio without missing out on the action. If the battery runs low before returning the speaker to the soundbar, it can be recharged easily using a USB-C power source.
