ONLYOFFICE launches Docs 10.0 with enhanced AI tools, PDF editing, and improved security for developers and users.
New version of ONLYOFFICE Docs released
ONLYOFFICE has made its latest version of Docs, called 10.0, available to the public. This update includes improved tools for developers, better control over artificial intelligence features, and stronger default security settings. The version is now accessible as a cloud service and through self-hosted software.AI tools now configurable in all editors
AI tools are now available in all ONLYOFFICE editors, allowing them to analyze document structure, recognize elements, and create clickable references. In commercial versions, administrators can choose which AI providers to use, connect servers, and control access to web search. These tools can also be turned off for specific instances or at the server level.Modular architecture for flexible extensions
ONLYOFFICE Docs 10.0 introduces a modular architecture with components like AI Agent, Forms, Rooms, and Files. These modules can be activated without changing the core of the editors. This setup allows developers to build customized environments and add features as needed, offering more flexibility in creating integrated solutions.PDF editing now supported in Document Builder
Document Builder, a tool for automated document creation, now supports editing PDF files. It can open and edit password-protected PDFs, create PDF forms, and allow users to sign forms. This update expands the possibilities for document automation without relying on other tools or workarounds.New endpoints for file transfers
The new version includes two new endpoints for sending files or scripts directly in requests. This eliminates the need to host files at a URL accessible by the server, simplifying integration and automation. The plugin and macro API has also been updated to use promises, making it easier to handle asynchronous operations.Enhanced security for new deployments
Security has been improved with features like default JWT (JSON Web Token) support and stricter token validation. Tokens are no longer accepted if the signature secret is missing. Additional protections include limited-scope service APIs, integrity checks for uploaded files, and stricter runtime configurations. These changes help secure new installations and reduce integration risks.Support for new file formats and administration changes
ONLYOFFICE Docs 10.0 now supports OFD files and their conversion. It also extends spreadsheet conversion to all supported formats. Server installation and administration have been updated, with automatic startup of the administration panel and a command-line tool for creating the first administrator account. Other changes include automatic recovery of unsaved changes and default port settings for DEB and RPM installations.Access to the new version
The developer version of ONLYOFFICE Docs 10.0 is available for download. Users who prefer the cloud version can use Docs Connect, which provides hosting and maintenance. More information and download links are available on the official ONLYOFFICE website.
