Xiaomi has introduced a new line of TVs featuring RGB Mini-LED technology, offering high performance at surprisingly low prices. These TVs, part of the S Pro RGB-Mini LED 2027 series, come in sizes up to 98 inches and can reach a maximum brightness of 5,500 cd/m². Unlike traditional LCD TVs that use white or blue LEDs, Xiaomi's models use red, green, and blue LEDs, which can provide more accurate and vibrant colors.
The Supreme Edition of these TVs promises to cover the full BT.2020 color space, which is the standard for high dynamic range (HDR) content. This model also includes a reflectance of 0.5%, indicating the use of an anti-reflective filter to reduce glare. Additional features include a 4K resolution panel with a 180 Hz refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports for high-speed data transfer, and a Harman 4.1.2 audio system with 170 watts of power.
Pricing for the Supreme Edition in China starts at around 6,300 yuan for the 65-inch model, which is approximately 830 euros. The 75-inch model costs about 960 euros, the 85-inch version around 1,220 euros, and the 98-inch model approximately 1,840 euros. These prices are based on Chinese currency conversions, but Xiaomi has not yet confirmed when or if these TVs will be available in France.
In Europe, similar RGB Mini-LED TVs from other brands are significantly more expensive. For example, the Hisense UR9S 65-inch model costs 1,700 euros, while the Sony Bravia 9 II and Samsung R95H are priced at 3,000 euros and 3,300 euros, respectively. Whether Xiaomi will bring these models to the French market and at what price remains uncertain, but the potential for disruption in the European TV market is clear.
