Brabus, Fragment Design, and DAB Motors have unveiled the Urban E Fragment Edition, an electric motorcycle produced in only 10 units. Priced at 45,000 euros before taxes, it is more of a collectible than a practical vehicle for everyday motorcyclists. The motorcycle was presented at the ComplexCon event in Los Angeles and brings together German tuner Brabus, the Fragment Design brand by Hiroshi Fujiwara—a prominent figure in Japanese streetwear—and French manufacturer DAB Motors, which provided the technical foundation. The project began when Hiroshi Fujiwara reportedly saw the Brabus Urban E at the Milan Furniture Fair, a model already developed by Brabus and DAB. He liked its look, leading to the creation of this special Fragment-signed version. The Urban E Fragment Edition follows a trend of high-end collaborations, emphasizing exclusivity, strong branding, and refined design. Its carbon fiber body, painted in a striking color, contrasts with white wheel covers, calipers, and a Brabus Masterpiece white leather seat. The rear light features the Fragment logo, adding to the design’s visual appeal. However, the use of white in urban environments can lead to quick dirt accumulation, which may affect the motorcycle’s appearance over time. Technically, the Urban E Fragment Edition is the same as the standard Urban E model unveiled in April at the Milan show. It features a 37-horsepower electric motor with 475 Nm of torque, a figure typical for electric vehicles. However, the way this torque is expressed on a two-wheeler is not clearly defined by the manufacturer. The 72 V battery is said to provide up to 150 km of range, but without details on battery capacity or testing conditions, the actual performance is hard to assess. The motorcycle can reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h using a carbon belt transmission and offers five driving modes, including a "Nitrous Boost" mode that provides maximum power for 10 seconds—more of a marketing feature than a practical function. The Urban E Fragment Edition includes high-end components such as Brembo’s radial 4-piston front caliper with a 320 mm floating disc and a 240 mm rear disc with ABS. It can be charged from a domestic 220 V socket in about 3 hours and 30 minutes, or from 50 to 100% in 90 minutes. Although the motorcycle’s weight is not disclosed, it plays a key role in determining its handling and agility. At 45,000 euros before taxes, the Urban E Fragment Edition is not aimed at performance but at rarity and brand prestige. It comes with a limited edition capsule collection, including leather gloves, a rider jacket, and a zip-up sweatshirt.
