Aurélie Soulat, commercial director for France at Costa Cruises, expressed satisfaction with the 2026 edition of IFTM, a major international trade fair for the travel and tourism industry. Despite the year not meeting initial expectations, Costa Cruises aims to end on a positive note. During the summer season, the company saw a significant number of last-minute bookings, with some customers securing trips in early July for travel later in the same month. For the upcoming winter and spring seasons, Costa Cruises is focusing on promotional efforts, offering discounted packages that include beverages and excursions from September 3 to the end of October. To enhance accessibility for French travelers, Costa Cruises is continuing two air operations for the winter season. This includes providing a hundred seats on direct flights from Lyon and Marseille during February school holidays, with destinations including La Romana in the Dominican Republic. The goal is to create a "door-to-port" experience, addressing the challenge some customers face in reaching cruise ports. For the spring of 2027, Costa Cruises plans an itinerary centered around the Italian coast, starting from La Seyne-sur-Mer and targeting primarily French customers. The company also continues its initiative of offering train travel from Paris to Toulon, a service launched over a year ago. Onboard, Costa Cruises is continuously updating its experiences, including the Black Night evening event, which features performances, music, and acrobatics, as well as new activities for children. The gastronomic restaurant Archipelago is also evolving, with its three chefs collaborating on a unique menu and a more immersive dining experience.
