A luxury camping car known as the R-Truck France Kodiak was sold for 996,000 euros. Designed in Toulouse and marketed as 100% made in France, the vehicle is nearly 11 meters long and offers 18 square meters of living space. This includes a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and other features necessary for long-term travel. It was displayed at the Paris-Le Bourget Leisure Vehicles Salon, which concluded on October 4, 2026. The Kodiak Premium model is intended for long journeys with high levels of comfort, and it is not meant to compete with traditional converted vans. The project was created by Frédéric Perez and Sophie Millieret after their own camping-car trip and took three years of development. The Ramière bodywork in Revel contributed to the construction and painting of the vehicle, while Plan'ing Agencement was responsible for part of the interior furnishings. Inside, a mural signed by a Toulouse artist adds a unique touch. The interior features polyester and opal glass tones, leather, Alcantara (a type of synthetic leather), mineral resin, and light oak floor finishes. The vehicle is equipped with high-end appliances, including a Siemens induction plate, a Miele combination oven, a Liebherr refrigerator-freezer, an Electrolux dishwasher, a Jura coffee machine, and a Thermomix TM7. It also includes a washing machine with a drying function for 8 kilograms. The U-shaped living area uses a 13 cm Bultex foam and can serve as a dining area, office, or sleeping area for two people. A Samsung television is located opposite the sofa, and the audio system is provided by Fusion by Garmin. The cabin includes two large panoramic windows and a sliding door that separates the bedroom from the living area. In the bedroom, there is a bed measuring 180 x 200 cm with a Bultex memory foam mattress and a 60 cm television. The bathroom includes an Italian-style shower of 90 x 80 cm, a mineral resin sink, and dry toilets. For several days of autonomy, the Kodiak can carry 1,000 liters of clean water with filtration and UV disinfection. Six solar panels produce 3,000 watts and power three lithium batteries. A 6,000 watt backup generator is also installed. The camping car uses a Starlink connection and a 4G/5G router for internet access. Outside, an outdoor kitchen and a 270-degree awning create a space for meals and relaxation. The vehicle also includes a 10-ton winch, sand removal plates, and a ladder to access the roof. The R-Truck France Kodiak is one of the examples of French know-how and is designed for adventurers seeking modern comfort during extended travel.
