Northern Cultures Summit returns for its 12th edition

The 12th edition of the Northern Cultures Summit took place on Saturday, October 10, on the beach of Mtsangadoua. Organized by the Tarehi Tsika association in collaboration with the Office of Tourism of the North, this event highlights the skills and traditions of the region.

Event honors local talents and volunteers

On the occasion of this edition, four residents were awarded for their skills: Saandati Bahassani, author-composer of chakacha, Madi Issoufi, artisan, Assani Hamidouni, farmer, and Ali Soilihi Ali, blacksmith. The volunteers who contribute to the organization of the event were also honored.

Activities showcase local culture and crafts

Stands dedicated to local products, traditional animations, and cooking workshops were part of the program. Through these regular meetings, the organizers aim to give more visibility to artisans of the North and encourage their participation in the region's events.

Next summit set for 2026

The next edition is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026, again on the beach of Mtsangadoua.
