New transparent color options announced

PlayStation has introduced the Prism Collection, which includes three new transparent color options for DualSense controllers and PS5 console shells: Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray. The design aims to bring back the look of "transparent objects from the late 1990s," as envisioned by designer Leo Cardoso.

Availability details unclear

The transparent colors will be available for DualSense controllers and PS5 console shells. However, Sony has not confirmed if the colors will be available for both the PS5 Digital and PS5 Pro models or if the PS5 Pro with a disc drive will be included. Compatibility with the new covers for the PS5 Slim model is also uncertain.

Price increases confirmed

The suggested retail price for the DualSense controllers is 84.99€, and for the PS5 console shells, it is 74.99€. This marks a 5€ increase for the controller and a 10€ increase for the shell compared to the Chroma collection released in 2024.

Pre-orders and release dates set

Pre-orders for the Prism Collection accessories will begin on November 10 at 10:00 AM, with availability starting on February 4, 2027, through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. In France, the PS5 console shells will only be sold on the official PlayStation store.
