Sony spent three years developing the successor to its popular WH-1000XM5 headphones, resulting in the release of the WH-1000XM6. These headphones are described as comfortable, durable, and high-performing, particularly in terms of noise cancellation. Currently, the WH-1000XM6 is available at a reduced price of 339.99 euros at Boulanger using the code FRENCH20, down from the original 449 euros. This discount is part of the French Days 2026 event, which runs from August 20 to September 14 and offers opportunities to find good deals on a variety of technology products. The WH-1000XM6 features a minimalist design with a memory foam headband that conforms to the shape of the user’s head, ensuring comfort during extended use. The foldable ear cups make it easy to store the headphones in a case. The device offers a battery life of 30 hours, even when noise cancellation is activated, making it ideal for long trips or extended listening sessions. The headphones can be used with a traditional 3.5mm cable, though this option disables the equalizer feature. Active noise cancellation (ANC) in the WH-1000XM6 is supported by the QN3 chip and 12 microphones, effectively reducing surrounding noises and providing a quiet listening experience. The transparency mode allows users to hear external sounds clearly, though automatic detection of dialogues has some minor issues. The Sound Connect app lets users customize their listening experience with an equalizer and adjust shortcuts for noise cancellation. The product is available in various colors, including white, although this color may be more prone to showing dirt. To find the best deals during the French Days 2026 event, consumers are advised to check online retailers such as Amazon, Fnac/Darty, Boulanger, and Cdiscount.
