Driver rescues kitten stuck in cup

Two years ago, Lexis Noelle was driving when she noticed an animal wandering in the street. Surprised, the young woman stopped and approached. She then noticed that the animal had its head stuck in a cup.

Animal initially mistaken for opossum

At first, she thought it was an opossum before realizing it was actually a kitten that was having difficulty breathing. Fearing that the kitten would suffocate, Lexis rushed to free it.

Rescuer describes the moment

"I took it into the car, I opened the lid of the cup, and it looked at me with wide eyes, its face smeared," she told the website The Dodo. Initially, Lexis thought she would hand the kitten over to an association but changed her mind.

Kitten becomes permanent family member

After two days at home, she knew that the little Fudge would stay with her. Today, the grown-up Fudge is doing very well and is pampered by her family.
