La Poste Mobile offers high-speed fiber internet through post offices, with packages like Bbox Access providing up to 1 Gb/s download speeds.
Internet access in post offices
Fixed internet has recently become available in post offices through La Poste Mobile, a company fully owned by Bouygues Telecom. This new service offers internet access through four different Bbox packages, which were launched at the end of 2025.Bbox Access package details
One of these packages, the Bbox Access, is a fiber-optic offer providing download speeds of up to 1 Gb/s and upload speeds of up to 700 Mb/s. It includes a 4K Android TV decoder, unlimited calls to fixed lines in France and over 110 countries, and access to 180 TV channels.Pricing and commitment period
The Bbox Access is currently priced at 19.99 euros per month for the first 12 months, after which the price increases to 29.99 euros per month. A 12-month commitment is required to maintain this pricing.Installation and fees
Fiber installation is free, and until November 1, 2026, the connection fee of 48 euros is waived by Bouygues Telecom. Up to 50 euros can be refunded on termination fees upon request.Subscription methods
Subscriptions to the Bbox Access can only be made by phone at 0 805 305 009 or directly at a post office, as it is not possible to subscribe online. This limits the options for customers looking to sign up for the service.Technical specifications
The Bbox Access is compatible with Wi-Fi 5, while the more expensive Bbox Privilège is compatible with Wi-Fi 7. The Bbox Privilège also offers unlimited mobile calls, unlike the Bbox Access.Additional features
The Bbox Access includes a 4K Android TV decoder, and an optional 100-hour TV recorder can be subscribed to at 4 euros per month. This provides extra flexibility for users who want to record their favorite shows.Speed capabilities
The theoretical download speed can reach up to 1 Gb/s, ideal for downloading large files, streaming HD or 4K video, or downloading games. The upload speed can reach up to 700 Mb/s, allowing for sending heavy files or transferring videos to the cloud.Real-world performance
However, these speeds are theoretical maximums that may not be achieved in real conditions. Actual performance can vary depending on factors such as network congestion, distance from the service provider, and the quality of the user's equipment.
