Scott introduces new urban electric bicycles

Scott has introduced a new line of urban electric bicycles called Sweep, aiming to make these bikes more discreet and accessible for city riders. The company has been in the electric bicycle market since 2011, launching a variety of models over the years, including mountain bikes and earlier urban-focused models like the SUB and Passage ranges.

Sweep range includes three models

The Sweep range consists of three models, with two offering a Wave version that features a low frame. The SCOTT Sweep 10 is designed for riders who prioritize speed and agility in their daily commutes, featuring a rigid fork and a minimalist design that weighs 22 kg, lighter than the Sweep 20 model.

Sweep 20 focuses on comfort

The SCOTT Sweep 20 is aimed at cyclists who prioritize comfort on their journeys. It includes a suspended fork to absorb road bumps and an adjustable handlebar for a customized riding position. The Sweep 20 Wave version has a lower frame, making it easier to mount and dismount, which is especially beneficial for frequent stops or for riders with mobility challenges.

Bosch motor and battery technology

All three models are equipped with the new Bosch Hub Line motor, integrated into the rear hub, offering 45 Nm of torque and 400 W of power. They also use a 360 Wh Bosch battery that is compact and easily removable for recharging at home or the office, with compatibility for a 250 Wh Bosch PowerMore autonomy extender.

Urban features and pricing

The bikes are equipped with features tailored for city riding, including front and rear fenders, homologated lights, a kickstand, and a rear rack available only on the Sweep 20 and Sweep 20 Wave. The SCOTT Sweep 10 is priced at 2,499 euros, while the Sweep 20 and Sweep 20 Wave models are available for 2,399 euros each.
