Segway Navimow has introduced the Navimow H510 Pro, a new robotic lawn mower, at the IFA electronics trade show. This model stands out with an extending robotic arm designed to trim the edges of lawns, an area that traditional robotic mowers often struggle with. The device uses Segway Navimow’s proprietary "Xero-turn" technology, which allows it to make smooth, gentle turns by twisting its wheels, reducing damage to the lawn and improving maneuverability around obstacles. The robotic arm can extend up to 2.9 inches (7.4 cm), enabling the mower to reach and trim edges with what the company calls "zero-gap edge trimming." This feature is supported by the "EdgeSense" software, which identifies the type of edge being trimmed—such as hard edges like walls and patios, soft edges like flower beds, and irregular edges like table legs. Based on this information, the software adjusts the mower's movements and actions to ensure precise trimming in each situation. To maintain consistency in the lawn's appearance, the edge trimmer and the main mower share the same cutting deck. This design choice aims to provide a more uniform cut, ensuring that the entire lawn looks finished and well-maintained. Segway Navimow emphasizes that the H510 Pro is designed to "finally close the gap between robotic convenience and truly finished results," offering a more polished alternative to traditional robotic mowers. Safety features are also a key part of the H510 Pro's design. It includes a side shield to protect against the cutting blades and a "live-detection protection" system that instantly stops the mower when a human or animal is near. This system uses heat-sensing technology to detect the presence of living beings, enhancing safety around homes and gardens. The mower’s AWD system, with four independently powered wheels and rear wheel suspension, allows it to navigate uneven terrain with precision and stability, making it more versatile in different lawn conditions.
