Local initiative to improve address registration
A group of organizations in Mayotte, including the Prefecture, the City of Mamoudzou, France Services, France Travail, and others, is starting a local project to help residents of Passamaïnty and Vahibé with address registration. This effort is part of a broader plan to expand similar support to other communes in the region.Importance of address registration
Having an official and registered address is crucial for receiving mail, packages, and important documents like bank cards. It also helps public services and providers better assist residents with administrative procedures.Informational flyer distribution
This week, mail carriers will deliver an informational flyer to residents of Passamaïnty and Vahibé. The flyer explains the significance of address registration and outlines the steps people can take to complete the process. It also lists all the organizations involved in the initiative.Public meetings for residents
Residents will have the opportunity to meet with the participating organizations during two days of public events. The first is on Wednesday, October 14, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at La Poste France Services in Passamaïnty. The second is on Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Passamaïnty annex municipal office.Assistance for all residents
During these meetings, residents can get information, ask questions, and receive help. Those who already have an address certificate can update their contact details with the partners. Those without one will be directed to the city’s address service to start the registration process.
