Since September 22, Decathlon has launched a special capsule collection called Bougeons en Rose to raise awareness and support for breast cancer prevention and research. This initiative, which runs until November 7, 2026, includes a range of products focused on running, triathlon, and swimming. Available both online at decathlon.fr and in approximately 100 stores across France, the collection is designed to encourage physical activity while contributing to the cause. For every item sold, 30% of the revenue will be donated to the League Against Cancer, supporting both research and patient care. Elodie Chenu, the project leader at Decathlon, emphasized the importance of making cancer prevention a shared responsibility. "Because breast cancer can affect each of us, prevention must become an accessible habit for everyone," she said. The Bougeons en Rose campaign aims to promote healthy habits like self-examination while uniting employees and customers in a collective effort. The initiative also highlights the role of physical activity in cancer prevention and aligns with awareness campaigns led by the League Against Cancer. In addition to the capsule collection, Decathlon is incorporating solidarity into its digital platforms. From October 1 to October 31, users of Decathlon Coach, Decathlon Outdoor, and Kiprun Pacer can participate in a national sports challenge. Each physical activity session completed by users helps fund a grant for Les Bonnes Fées, a nonprofit organization. This initiative encourages individuals to turn their exercise routines into acts of solidarity, regardless of their level of participation. Local efforts are also underway in Nîmes. Free Zumba classes will be held in-store on October 9 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a pink dress code, in partnership with Planète Fitness. Additionally, a free running event will take place on October 23 at 6:15 p.m., organized by Yukon Run & Coffee (YRC) and supported by Decathlon Nîmes. Registration for the event starts on October 19, and details about the route and location will be provided during the registration process. These activities aim to bring the community together in the fight against breast cancer.
