Football club joins breast cancer awareness campaign

The football club ESTAC Troyes is participating in Octobre Rose, an international awareness campaign for breast cancer, during their match against Le Mans FC on Saturday, October 31. The club has partnered with the Aube District and local organizations to highlight the fight against breast cancer.

Event includes symbolic gestures

Before the match, women who have breast cancer or are in remission will join the players on the pitch, dressed in pink as a visible sign of the club’s support for those affected by the illness. This gesture aims to show solidarity and raise awareness.

Charitable donations from event

One euro will be donated to the League Against Cancer for every ticket sold to the match. Additionally, the entire proceeds from a charitable raffle will also be given to the League Against Cancer of Aube to support research and patient care.

Fan Zone offers educational activities

A Fan Zone, renamed "Le Village Octobre Rose," will be set up to provide information about breast cancer. The area will include stands from the League Against Cancer, the "Le combat d'Anne-Sophie" association, and professionals offering hair and nail prosthetics.

Event continues with evening for students

After the match, an evening event will be held for registered students, featuring a DJ and free refreshments, extending the campaign’s reach and engagement beyond the football match itself.
