Release date confirmed

SHIFT UP Corp. has officially set November 5, 2026, as the release date for Stellar Blade Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2. The company released a trailer highlighting its collaboration with the NieR:Automata franchise in the weeks leading up to the launch, and a demo of the game is already available for download on the console.

Gameplay and setting

In Stellar Blade, players take on the role of EVE, an elite warrior sent to Earth to reclaim it from mysterious forces. The game blends intense combat with a complex, twist-filled storyline set in a science fiction universe, where players must uncover the cause of the planet's downfall. The game aims to bring cinematic storytelling closer to interactive gameplay.

Customization and controls

The character evolves through various skills, equipment, and combat styles that can be customized, offering players flexibility during boss battles. On Nintendo Switch 2, some non-combat activities utilize the motion controls of the Joy-Con 2, enhancing the overall immersion and gameplay experience.

New outfits and content

The Complete Edition includes four new outfits inspired by Bayonetta, which will be available for free on Nintendo Switch 2 starting November 5, 2026. These outfits are part of the edition’s added content, which also includes all previously released DLCs such as NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE.
